Meet Eniac’s newest team member: Monica Lim

By Anthony Ha

We’ve made an exciting addition to the Eniac team: Monica Lim, who will be working as an investor alongside our co-founder, Hadley Harris.

Having built and scaled consumer products in Commerce and FinTech, Monica is an operator turned VC who is acutely aware of the consumer journey. She is passionate about building companies in the zero-to-one phase, and would like to leverage her operating skillset to help founders reach new heights.

Monica’s experience spans across various operating and business strategy roles at a YC-backed FinTech startup (Arthena), Jet.com / Walmart.com, and at Yahoo (my old employer!), where she helped launch a commerce business within a digital advertising company, which generated over $1B in affiliate GMV annually. As a member of the founding team, she scaled the commerce business from two employees to 150 team members across Yahoo Mail, Search, and Editorial in two years. She later became a key member of Yahoo’s Corporate Strategy team, where she conducted due diligence on potential M&A targets and strategic partnerships.

Monica grew up in San Francisco, but spent half her life in Asia (Taipei, Shanghai, Hong Kong) where she learned Mandarin, and now calls New York City her home. She has a B.A. in Anthropology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master’s in Visual Arts Administration from New York University.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to remote beaches (she loves anything to do with the open sea), learning new languages, and exploring all that New York has to offer (particularly its public museums!). She is deeply curious and optimistic about the future of the internet, and actively invests in women-backed NFT projects, in addition to contributing to The Symmetrical, a Gen-Z led social and investment DAO.

We’re thrilled to have Monica on the team!
